The Central Coast committee have been busy visiting many of our members who are sick or in nursing homes and their efforts have not gone unnoticed.
The following letter was received from Jim Wilson of Kiama, whose father Ron spent time in Gosford Hospital recently:
Dear Don Parish and Ken Hey (Central Coast),
I would like to take this opportunity to offer my
heartfelt thanks to both of you for visiting my
father Ron Wilson whilst he was in Gosford
Hospital. As you are aware Dad was having a
difficult time with his health and he was very
low at the time of your visit.
Your compassion, kindness and concern in
response to my letter highlighting my father’s
situation will never be forgotten. Your phone
calls and genuine interest in Dad’s well being
was fantastic. You are both wonderful men and
superb ambassadors for the Men of League
Foundation.
Dad is still talking about your visit to the hospital
and I am aware he tells everyone who comes
to visit him how much of a boost it gave him.
With organisations such as the Men of League
Foundation and with people like Don Parish
and Ken Hey being involved, there is no doubt
Rugby League is the greatest Game of all.
Yours sincerely,
Jim Wilson
